A section is dedicated to additional information where you can provide the piece’s history, owner history, how you acquired the piece, if it has been appraised, if it has a certificate of authenticity, the state of conservation (broken or missing parts and where they are located on the piece), etc. You can also leave a description of the artwork.
Don't forget to take good quality, high-resolution photographs of the piece in order to facilitate our decision making process and increase your chances of closing a sale.
Here are some tips for the photographs:
- Take a picture of the entire piece that is well framed/centred on a neutral background. - Take a picture of the back of the artwork because essential information can often be found there. - The signature and date. - Any details that might interest us: a scene, a face, a missing part or unwanted mark, etc. - If you have documents that accompany the work such as a purchase invoice (gallery/auction), appraisal information or certificate of authenticity, please send them to us, this information will be useful for making the final decision. - Avoid flash and overexposure.
