Reflections by Emmanuel Barrois, an Unusual & Monumental Installation in the Jardin du Palais Royal

An outdoor art exhibition in Paris: On display September 15 - November 15, 2023

This autumn, the Jardin du Palais Royal will feature Reflections, a monumental 15-meter-high installation by Emmanuel Barrois a master glass artist. Renowned engineers and architects such as Rudy Ricciotti, Kengo Kuma and Christian de Portzamparc helped bring this artistic and technical feat to life.

Through this gigantic installation, Emmanuel Barrois invites us to reflect on man's place in tomorrow's world, playing on the duality of the piece’s material aspect and the ephemeral quality of light.

Eight tones of glass and 6,000 meters of intertwined prisms coalesce to dazzle visitors with reflections of rainbows projected onto the surrounding surfaces. You can enjoy this must-see outdoor art exhibition in Paris starting September 15, 2023!

This major retrospective brings together over 200 of the artist's paintings, drawings, prints and notebooks, displayed chronologically to highlight the artist's creative process. The exhibition focuses on some of his favorite themes: the sea, soccer, portraits, still lives, popular festivals, landscapes and more. The artist's endless inspiration is underscored by his unabashed use of color and light, which he experimented with in such a way that allowed his art to emanate a sense of freedom.
