Artist Biography

Masaki Kazushi was born in Osaka, Japan, started painting at the age of 7 and continued his high school education. He was an abstract expressionist from the start chastised by his elementary teachers for his unrealistic dreamy work.

At the end of his career, Kazushi began to work from memory and intuition rather than from direct observation.

He used more intuitive touches of paint and began to produce many abstract landscapes, formations and unconsciously generated writings. His works have dimensional structures, notions of a futuristic biological world combined with a strong tribal feel.

He and his family lived in Osaka for a while before eventually moving to the French Riviera and Belgium, where Kazushi continued to develop his art.
