Artist Biography

Michel Philippon Sculpteur Plasticien is a French artist born in June 1947 in Paris. After artistic studies at the Met studio in Penninghen and at the Corvisart School in Paris. He is involved in the cultural and associative world and he is trained in all areas of Plastic and Decorative Arts. Successively Director of Cultural Centers, Theaters and Cinema, he pursues a graphic and decorative production and at the same time develops an eclectic, sensual and contemporary approach to sculpture. From materials as diverse as concrete, wood, iron, stone, glass and terracotta, most often from recovered objects Michel Philippon constructs sculptures or paintings where graphics and forms combine space. He has received numerous awards throughout his artistic journey. Each work tells a story through its features, its graphics and its materials, it leads the walker to imagine a story of which only he knows the beginning and the end.
