"Promenade in the city" is an original work of art made with Indian ink on 300gr paper (unframed).
This black and white wash represents a city. We can see silhouettes. This geometrical composition and this game of transparency transport us to the imagination.
Born in 1988 in Lille, Paul Spriet learns drawing and painting from an early age through observation of the works of his grandfather who has a certain recognition in France and Belgium.
In 2013, he obtained his master's degree in architecture at the Catholic University of Louvain. He specializes in illustrations for architecture competitions. At the same time, he continues his apprenticeship in painting and drawing through the live model. He exhibits in 2019 in Lille.
His inspiration comes from architecture but also from his passion for nature and wide open spaces. His work is mainly in black and white, guided by the light and shadow it generates. His works could be defined by these few words: light, transparency, volumetry.
