Artist Biography
The artist 朵蕊蕊 - Duo Ruirui - was born in the city of Eternal Spring, Kunming, in the province of Yunnan, China.
Trained as a lyric artist (mezzo-soprano), she has been passionate about painting and calligraphy since she was very young. She then took distance learning courses with Chinese masters in this art. Then she gradually developed her own style between tradition and modernity, with a preference for sober flower motifs, especially peonies.
Painting is for her a formidable source of happiness and harmony. She wishes to share this happiness and to make known the beauty of traditional Chinese art.
Ruirui lives in the Paris region with her husband and her son and regularly returns to her home town to draw her inspiration.
