Between strength, finesse and irony, Lysiane D.Coste unveils her palette through daily life and experiences, sometimes intimate, where familiar subjects and the various disorders and contradictions of family life are intertwined, with her as the central character.

Born in Chelles in 1965. After a classical training, she is at the same time teacher of plastic arts with children and adults. She became an artist in her own right in 2015. Her inspiration revolves around the things of life and the taste of others. Lysiane D.Coste paints in her 'veranda studio' in the middle of a Picardy forest, calm and peaceful, full of light and contrasts according to the seasons. Colorist, with sometimes exacerbated features, her mixed media paintings on paper are works by themselves. Her paintings, rarer, are evolving. Behind each work a story sometimes theatrical or an anecdote. Behind each work a funny or dramatic intimacy. A technique which is a mix of different artistic currents in post modernism, expressionism and free figuration where the mastered release is imposed.
