Printed on fine art Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Fine Art paper. This 308 g/m² paper is made of 100% cotton and has a matt surface. 

Thanks to the combination of paper and the type of print, the images are matte, without reflections and can thus be appreciated from all angles, even if placed in front of a light source. 

Produced on demand in a limited serie of 6 pieces, it will be personally signed by me and will come with an Authenticity Certificate. 

Within 24 hours after I receive the confirmation of your order I will submit my order to the print service and usually receive the print in about 10/15 days. When I receive the product from the print facility, I double check it just to be sure there are no problems and the print quality meet my standards; then I prepare/print the certificate of authenticity, sign it and get your parcel ready. 

I use UPS to ship your parcel. I have a long history working with them and so far I find them the most reliable service; moreover the shipment will be trackable so we are both able to locate its position while travelling to your home. Once I order the shipment I will get a tracking number and I will email it to you.

Artist Biography

Ugo Grandolini was born in 1961 in Como.

He works in the software business for over 30 years, in 2016 he buys his first camera, starts taking photographs and by the end of the year he moves to Spain.

In 2017 he begins his training at a photography school while following a series of online course as an autodidact.

To deepening into the study of light, he sets up a small studio at home and begins to photograph dolls.

He presents the images of the dolls to the school as a final project resulting in a big success.

In 2018 he returns to Italy and begins a series of collaborations with models and some fashion stores.

Always enchanted by the work of Peter Coulson, Ugo attends one of his workshops. Enthusiastically, he resumes the project with dolls and starts shooting inspired by Peter's work.

In 2019 he meets a curator of art exhibitions who fall in love with some pictures of the dolls and invites Ugo to participate to his first exhibition in Venice along with 40 other international artists.

« In a world where women alter their bodies trying to become perfect like dolls, I started my journey in photography by shooting with “real” dolls trying to represent them as women.

Later, I started shooting portraits with women just to realise that they can have an “unexpressed” beauty that is not what fashion magazines propose.

The beauty I see is usually hidden in details of their body such as imperfections, wicked gestures, vulnerability, sadness, rage…

And the ability to show them this hidden beauty trough my camera make them aware of what they really are, of their sensuality and erotic behaviours. »
