Aditional Information
Period Contemporary (1945-today)

My graphic works are made from my photos and my graphic palette, which does not prevent me from painting oil paintings that require a lot of time, as they are usually enhanced with gold leaf and other materials through techniques that are personal to me.

In order to make myself better known to the general public, I offer my production "COLLECTOR" in limited series of 1/50. Each work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed with the monogram CF with a personalized dedication on request. All the prints are made in high definition of 450dpi. It is very important that the work is highlighted, so that it takes its full scope.

Artist Biography

Christian Fritz-Garett was born in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Trained as a cameraman, he began his professional life in Nice as a journalist for the filmed press, under the direction of George Reymond, Information Director at Nice-Matin.

As a news reporter, he got to know the group "Les Nouveaux Réalistes de l'école de Nice" which consisted of: Yves Klein, Martial Raysse, Armand, Ben, Sosno.

From 1960 to 1970, he started in Paris as an assistant to Guy Bourdin for the Vogue newspaper and Helmut Newton for the Jardin des modes. He established himself as a fashion photographer for newspapers such as: L'Officiel de la Couture, Marie-France, Elle, Jour de France, but also for German and Italian magazines.

From 1970 to 1977, he specialized as an advertising photographer in the automotive sector for agencies such as DDB, Ogilvy, Publicis.

From 1977 to 1990, he gradually abandoned photography to devote himself solely to the world of art and painting.

An antique dealer for ten years, he managed to obtain the qualification of expert in XVIIIth French.

At present, he alternates between brushes for his oil-painted works and his graphic palette for his graphic compositions, which he entrusts to photographic laboratories, in charge of printing them on altuglas or aluminium sheets called Dibond.
His works are mostly exhibited by art lovers and collectors looking for new talents.
