As a journalist from the press filmed in Nice, I had the opportunity to get to know Yves KLEIN. The first public presentation of the Anthropometries of the Blue Era took place on March 9, 1960 at the National Gallery of Contemporary Art.
Yves Klein presented himself in a black suit with a wave of his hand, 3 nude models entered the room with jars of blue paint. They smeared their bodies with this blue Klein paint and then affixed their bodies in a rotational movement on a huge white sheet, their prints were frozen for posterity. He was the only one to sell emptiness, nothingness the absolute.
I had dinner with him for the last time at the Coupole de Montparnasse, a fortnight before his death on June 6, 1962. Tribute to his talent. CF
