Artist Biography
I'm Covadonga Castro, an artist born in Madrid in 1993. My career as a painter began in Poland, at the Krakow School of Fine Arts, where I lived for two years and where my interest in abstract art blossomed. Back in Spain, I spent three years in Ibiza, where I explored ceramics while continuing to paint. For the past two years, I have been living in France, where I devote myself fully to my artistic activity. Settling in Basse-Normandie, I set up my studio and embarked on the creation of my DOTS series. This collection of oil paintings on linen and paper is an expression of my imagination, inspired by the magnificent wild landscapes of Normandy and their variations through the seasons. Through my works, I aspire to capture the essence of tree leaves, meadow tips, clouds and other elements of nature by superimposing an infinite number of dots, offering an immersive visual experience and evoking a deep connection with the surrounding nature.
