Artist Biography

When I was eighteen, I met the love of my life, Philippe Milbergue, writer, musician, poet... He made me realize that my only limits were those I set for myself. We have successfully completed many projects together: associations, companies, publishing houses, magazines, exhibitions, websites... and two wonderful daughters. With him, I worked as a layout artist, proofreader, illustrator and designer.

Then I visited the exhibition of a sculptor, Marc Touret, whose work I loved. He ran a workshop, and I enrolled and stayed for six years. I learned sculpture (modeling, wood, stone, bronze, patina) as well as drawing and modeling from live models. Marc Touret encouraged me to strike out on my own, exhibit my sculptures, leave the cosy nest of the studio and teach.

Like him, I wanted to share. And so did I. I set up my own association and opened a sculpture workshop in Val Fourré, Mantes-la-Jolie, which I ran for several years. A mutual acquaintance introduced me to a head of department at the Prévention Judiciaire de la Jeunesse. He was running a structure for minors and was looking for a sculptor to work with young people. He trained me to work with educators, to work with young people who had broken away from school and society. I also worked in prisons, juvenile detention centers, bridging classes and hostels for twenty years. I loved it.
Based on the dozen or so years of interventions in Classe Relais, together with Nathalie Lelouey (PJJ educator) and Philippe Jubin (SEGPA director and history teacher) we wrote a book about our crossed experiences (éditions d'une - 2017).

For some twenty years, I pursued these two careers in parallel: sculptor/draughtswoman/pastellist and art educator. I also regularly illustrated poetry and art books (ink or acrylic on paper or canvas).

I love to keep learning, and it's quite natural that I came to acrylic painting. Since 2018, I've been happily devoting myself exclusively to it, selling my canvases in the UK, Germany, the USA and, of course, France.
