Mixed technique

The artist decides to use several techniques and support at the same time to express his art. The mixed techniques can be used as well in paint as in sculpture, for figurative art or abstract art. The interest for the artist to use mixed techniques is to combine these processes to explore interactions and take advantage of benefits of each one, to create a language of its own and to distance itself from other artists. Every medium offers the artist expressive possibilities that it exploits as it please and that it chooses according to its personality. Such approach can lead to the study of new art form (example: a painter who becomes a sculptor).
