Artist Biography
The figurative and non-figurative canvases I present are the result of strolls along paths where, without being on the lookout for anything, something suddenly clicks. It's the sight of a few fragments of cracked cliffs, a few mounds of rock slapped by the sea... In short, natural elements, however robust they may be, cannot escape slow deterioration over time. Without neglecting this phenomenon, this fragment of the external world that I wish to treat responds above all to an expectation of the inner world that allows me to collect myself. My aim is not to paint a view of reality or a view of the mind, it is what the conscious/inconscious duo allows me to concretize and finalize. After retaining the guidelines that create a network that encourages the conscious structuring of the composition, I feel the need to give free rein to an unconscious spontaneity that adds the inflections I've been waiting for.
