Period Contemporary (1945-today)

The melting, dripping ice is the symbol of a colourful, decadent and seductive world that melts at every moment. The image is constructed in a square to minimise the depth of the composition. The subject in the foreground fills the space with colour.

The oil technique is used to obtain vivid colours. The final painting, which is extremely brilliant, accentuates the brightness and vitality of the subject while emphasizing the vanity.
