Soir d'été à Saint-Cado

I've been a painter for as long as I can remember, with real progress and finally a style of my own: "La fille en jaune" ("The girl in yellow"). It revealed me as a painter, and today I know where I'm going. I like to depict this free, casual woman full of life, whom I enjoy staging in places I particularly like. The black-and-white backgrounds of Paris, in particular, plunge us into the nostalgia of a bygone era. The seashores reflect Brittany, where I live, and I imagine places I haven't yet explored. My paintings are entirely in oil or acrylic for the background, but "La fille en jaune" is always in oil, which gives it relief.
