This sculpture is part of the "Combien tu Pez? collection, in reference to the famous little box of candy made by the artist Pinkhas.
The work represents a character in resin painted with acrylic paint and enhanced with gold.
Around the foot are arranged small custom Pez candies and the mouth of the character delivers a real small gold ingot of one gram 999/1000 ème.
The sculpture is encased in a glass.
This unique work is signed by the artist.

Artist Biography

Born in 1975, Pinkhas defines himself as an heir to the Jewish School of Paris, with an expressionist and naive style. 

His atypical career path combines a doctorate in medicine and training in dramatic art (Cours Florent, Academy Oscar Sisto). In parallel with his more academic figurative work, Pinkhas is developing a series of conceptual works with the recurring element of the gold ingot. Small "precision", the artist wishes to stage only real gold bars. 

This work is done from two angles: 

The Gold Up series, featuring ingots in safes, targets of a robbery and The Hidden Gold series having fun staging said ingots in more surprising situations. The most representative version is undoubtedly the collection entitled: “How much do you Pez? ”, Where The famous candy distributor delivers real ingots as a provocative praise to the unbridled consumer society.
