Born in 1957 in Niort, Ryse Kaïa studied and worked there.
Self-taught, the artist perfected and produced many portraits as well as life scenes inspired by her travels in Morocco.
From 2003, she produced around forty paintings of abstract, lyrical painting with a predominance of red where the gesture is spontaneous.
The artist experienced this stage as a source of freedom, a therapy and a segment of the creative adventure.
Over the years, an evolution has taken place towards a new universe of expression marked by a shift from the academic figurative, towards less explicit, more suggestive portraits, based on pure creation.
Thus, Ryse Kaïa develops a very personal style which is part of the expressionist movement.
