Marta Riva

Marta Riva, Andorran artist. My artistic training began at the Official School of Applied Arts and Crafts "Llotja", Barcelona (Estudis Superiors), in 1983. Specialized in fire enamels, also graduated in applied arts, I dedicated myself to the restoration of pieces (1992).

My career has led me to explore the field of jewelry and goldsmithing by applying enamels (commemorative plaques for companies, manual work...). I love to share this art and that's why I lead workshops with students from different schools in Barcelona.

An artistic silence of 15 years, dedicated solely to creative design for advertising. A key moment in my life awakens in me the need to create again.

The year 2019 begins my journey in the creation of my first collection of works in mixed media: "Tempo". The Tempo collection was exhibited in December 2022 at the Patricia Cancelo Gallery in Barcelona with a very good reception from guests and art critics.

The technique of the paintings is made with acrylic paint, inlays of clockwork and fire enamel, sometimes with plates and steel pieces.
