Biography

I am Audrey Chambon, self-taught visual artist and stained glass artist. I have been painting the A-Women for 20 years and decided to make them known in 2022, among other things by moving to large format and street art (street collage). "A union of primitive femininity and contemporary lines, the A-Women are striking archetypes, which question the image and place of women in society through their anatomy and attitude.

It took me a long time to decide to become a full-time artist. In 2016, with a background in communication/tourism, I retrained in stained glass, which I have been practicing ever since. Little by little I have committed myself to a pure artistic path with this medium. Even with a training as a craftswoman, I came back to art, the need to express the beautiful, and my perception of things.

The A-Women have been part of me for 20 years, I created them as mirrors of my feelings, of my reality as a woman. By deciding to show them, by creating them also in large format, I naturally brought them to the street and linked them also naturally to my humanist and feminist commitment.
