Biography

Marjorie Herrero, originally from Nîmes, was born in 1977.

From a very early age, the artist became interested in Chinese calligraphy, fascinated by the mastery of the gesture, the quality of the stroke, and the emotions it evokes. She created her first works that blend her Asian influences with the Pop movement.

Without limitations, she employs numerous techniques and explores the realm of possibilities: origami, paper cutting, drawing, and even digital art. Her work is meticulous, much like her fragile cutouts, resembling lace.

Herrero also repurposes obsolete objects or items from popular culture, such as Playmobil figures, in poetic and whimsical scenes that convey inspiring and quirky messages.

Marjorie Herrero's work engages the visitor's nostalgia through her unique and inspiring artwork.
