Tolliac

Born on the first of June 1991 and originally from Normandy, Tolliac developed a passion for drawing at a very young age without taking art classes or becoming professionally oriented in this field.

Self-taught, he began in 2017 by painting abstract works, in order to experiment with different tools (knives, stencils, spalters, spray paint, acrylic...), varying colors and tints according to his moods.

Art allows him to evacuate emotions, sometimes obscure, resulting from a feeling of incomprehension in front of the damage caused by the Man and the society. Thus, influenced by his love for nature and his desire to raise awareness of the animal cause, he began to create more figurative works. He chooses to represent animals which, thanks to different painting techniques, melt into more and more colorful settings.

Drawn into a dynamic that leads him to paint the world of the living and inspired by the birth of his daughter, Tolliac also realizes a series of portraits of women who merge in elements and colors that always echo nature.
