As far back as he can remember, Arnaud Florentin, born in 1978 in Nancy and long known as Flow, has always drawn, painted or sculpted. For him, painting is a reason to exist, the only way to express himself fully and be himself. A commitment to the point of self-forgetting.

"My painting is simple: I paint feelings and emotions to convey. It must live, overflow, explode, surprise, touch the soul, be free, translate my personality and aspirations. What resembles a profession of faith is expressed in Flow's many forms, among which portraiture occupies a prominent place. And while faces have always fascinated him, his encounter with the work of Yan Pei Ming and his thick, powerful paint proved decisive. The result was a series of black-and-white brush portraits that reveal the first splashes of paint on the canvas.
