Biography

Pierre Jarraud is a French painter born in Limoges on July 4, 1941 and died on January 11, 1997 in Condat-sur-Vienne at the age of 55. Since his death, his wife and daughter continue to share and bring his work to life through regular exhibitions, in France and abroad.

After studying at Lycée Gay Lussac in Limoges, Pierre Jarraud continued his studies for three years at the National School of Art in Limoges1 and then at the School of Art and Design Saint-Étienne2. He made his first oil paintings at the age of thirteen.

Artist in love with landscapes and nature that he paints willingly, mastering different techniques. Over the years, the theme of antique dolls and mannequins that he collects and displays has made him "the painter of dolls".

A graphic designer by training, he worked for five years in an agency before setting up on his own in 1970.
