Biography

My name is Michel Fournol, and I'm now retired after a long career as a professional fireman. I can now devote myself fully to my passion.

After 40 years as an amateur photographer, I'm now a micro-business photographer. During my travels, I prefer street photos, people, architecture and the graphics that a monument can represent when seen from another angle, not forgetting landscapes, which in my opinion are the most difficult to sublimate.

For some time now, I've been working in collaboration with painter Jérémy Besset. French artist, born in Cannes in 1984. A draughtsman and painter specializing in street art, he took up graffiti in his youth. After making a name for himself at festivals and exhibitions in France and the United States, and through several spray-painted storefront projects, he became a decorator and learned to use pigments for a while. An ecologist and humanist, he now works with pigment and acrylic paint, and has created his own color palette.

Together we have developed a new technique that combines black & white and color photography with painting. The support chosen for our work is Dibon on aluminum, framed in an American box.
