Biography

Jean Philippe RICHARD (born in 1947) is an internationally renowned French painter and sculptor. He will start by practicing painting, also mosaic and screen printing. In 1990, he met Guy LeRiche and began sculpting in his studio in Avignon. He made women his favorite theme in the early 1990s. His works are delicate, sweet and graceful. His feminine statues are distinguished by their slender and sensual shapes.

In 1998, he started collaborating with the crystal maker Daum and creating models.
In 2016, he created an art center « Inspirations » in Mirabel-aux-Baronnies (France).

  • 1994 : Gold Medal « Les Seigneurs de l'art », Arles, France.
  • 1995 : Silver Medal « Arts, Sciences and literature », Paris, France.
  • 1998 : Barcelona 1st sculpture prize « A.C.E.A. » Spain.
  • 1998 : Mandelieu 1st prize for sculpture, « Mediterranean Arts », Mandelieu, France.
  • From 1999 to 2000 : Public Prize, « Mediterranean Arts », Mandelieu, France.
  • 2003 : Nouméa entered the government collection and personal collection of the President, New Caledonia.
  • 2005 : Entry into the collection of the National Museum of Sculpture, Shanghai, distinction and classification by the Government of the People's Republic of China.
  • 2011 : Trophée literary prize « Le Roman de l'été de la Messardière » Château de La Messardière, Saint Tropez.
  • 2013 : Auction at the Swiss Red Cross ball of 2 sculptures by auctioneer François Curiel of Christie's.
  • 2015 : Creation with Daum Trophy Trofémina 2015.
