Biography

Artist of Austrian origin, I lived in several countries before settling permanently in France. Today I live in Fontainebleau where I have set up my studio.

My artistic projects have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Europe, North America and recently also in China.

Today, my artistic practice is centered on graphic arts, printmaking and drawing. Indeed, it is in Canada, where I lived for seven years, that I discovered my passion for the art of printing.

I have been an active member in several artist-run centres such as Atelier Graff and Atelier Circulaire in Montreal. I was the recipient of several creative grants and travel grants that allowed me to discover other artist-run centres such as the Open Studio in Toronto and the Martha Street Studio in Winnipeg.

ARTISTIC APPROACH: The notion of trace is central to my artistic research. Trace as imprint, trace as clue, trace as memory or trace as writing. It is micro-events, subtle, almost invisible information, lost objects, stories, fleeting encounters and traces of life of all kinds that inspire me to create.
