Simon Roulet is a French painter born in Nantes in 1980.

Simon Roulet has a unique and original technique, his paintings are first done digitally before being reproduce on a canvas with oil paint. The painter gets inspired by elements and portraits of everyday life to which he adds a neutral, almost cold dimension and a smooth appearance.

Through his paintings Simon Roulet actually reveals to us his critical vision of our consumer society too focused on appearance. In fact this excessive pursuit for beauty in his paintings is ironical, the response of the artist is an even more stereotypical beauty.
