Ruzanna Hakobyan

Born in Armenia on March 29, 1979 in Yerevan, Armenia. Attached to my Armenian origins, my work draws its inspiration from my roots. In perpetual rebirth and metamorphosis, I find in painting a fantastic means of communicating and transmitting the unconditional love that I feel towards the human race, nature and the animal world. The axis of research that I privilege is directed towards a reinterpretation of the art of the portrait, whether it is human or animal. My gestures and my spontaneity provoke accidents in the interpretation of my subjects and give way to an irruption of colors. I remain attentive to the chromatic vibrations which come to illuminate the visible to reshape it. My stuffed animals are positioned between figuration and abstraction giving a new vision of the world. Small or large formats, my work of painting finds its rhythm often in series and this device takes place like ritual.
