Julien Chadaigne

I am a self-taught photographer and I live near Paris.
I choose to show the world around us with my camera as a tool of expression, not as a tool of reproduction.
When I'm looking for new pictures, I let myself be guided by my emotion.
I don't plan anything in advance and I look for the fateful moment when I will "meet" a series.
So it's the photos that grab me first, when I'm walking around looking for something new.
My photographic work is also embodied in a particular technique or treatment for each series: long exposure, motion blur or, on the contrary, the search for sharpness... It is then a question of creating a link between the technique and the subject, to give birth to an obviousness, to make a photo live fully, to make it vibrate.
To date, I work a lot in the La Défense area. It's my playground, in a way. I find this place magnificent, magical and above all very inspiring.
