Biography

Born in England, I am a self-taught draughtsman but it is not by this path that my career starts but by an open door in a logistics company.

For 15 years, this first job allowed me to travel throughout Europe and Africa. However, as time went by, an old dream resurfaced. France, a country discovered during my studies while learning its language and culture, rich in words, landscapes, colors and artists.

1993, change of course in the direction of France. It is in Charente that I put my bags down. I also changed jobs to become a mason and stone mason. The desire to work with my hands and to bring old buildings back to life found a deep echo in me. 25 beautiful years during which I learned a lot in contact with many trades. My first two lives have largely fulfilled my expectations.

Here I am at the dawn of the third. Self-taught, I draw since childhood. After a few exhibitions and a few months of presence in a Bordeaux gallery, where the welcome was very warm, I open this universe which is dear to me on another form of canvas. My passion is drawing, which I dress with watercolor and Indian ink. One carries the colors in all subtlety and the other adorns it with elegance. Portraits, landscapes, architecture, all subjects animate me. In the portraits, I try to capture the look, the expression, the attitude. Landscapes offer me the richness of their composition, their play of light and shadow. The architecture, as for it, lays the bases of the inevitable perspective. All the drawings are done freehand without any technical support.
