Jean-Paul Surin

Jean-Paul SURIN was born in 1946 in the Ardennes where he spent his youth in a harsh and varied nature (banks of the Meuse and large forests) of which he keeps an indelible imprint and especially his passion for landscapes. He began to paint at the age of 12 to never stray from this passion, he then studied at the Beaux-Arts where he later taught. His work is exhibited all over the world. From Provence to Brittany via his native Ardennes, Jean-Paul SURIN captures the landscapes, soaks up the atmospheres to better sublimate the lights. If he is a landscaper, it is above all for the love of nature. Light, movement and matter are the artist's three key words. He works with a knife and a brush.
