Nelio

Nélio Franco Abreu, better known as Nelio, was born on 5 March 1967 in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal.

He studied at Escola Francisco Franco where he was an art and design student.

In 1986 he attended an oil painting workshop, directed by Mrs. Mary (North America).

In 1988 he started his activity as a photographer in a renowned studio in Madeira Island, "Romeu e Julieta".

In 1995 he went to the city of Porto, to acquire training in Adobe Photoshop. Five years later he saw his career take off into the world of journalism, taking his first steps in "Noticias da Madeira", as a photojournalist.
