Angel 41
Angel 41, an artist born and based in Manchester, shapes a new mess full of textures and abstract shapes. Pieces of torn dough and shards of graffiti reveal shattered, messy figures peering into urban chaos. These expressive works of art expose an underground world of psychological turmoil while reflecting the evolving nature of the streets.
Abstract spatial relations form a complexity of meaning imbued with bitterness, irony and dark humor. In these powerful and emotional works, the painting seems to take on a life of its own, flowing and reaching out to form abstract, organic mysteries that tell a fragmented and chaotic world.
Since arriving on the art scene in 2009 with a sold-out exhibition at the Lazarides Gallery, Angel 41 has sold works on all continents which are held in private collections around the world.
The artist has participated in solo and group exhibitions with Lazinc, Mirus Gallery, Red Propeller and Lawrence Alkin Gallery as well as in auctions at Dreweatts & Bloomsbury, alongside artists such as Banksy, Nick Walker, Martin Whatson , Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.
