'Harbinger' is a biomorphic tripod, balanced on its three appendages. Created using organic styling. This original form is defined by overall rounded curves, giving the piece a lifelike appearance. Built in white concrete with a painted blue eye and waxed. This sculpture in unique and outstanding.
Sculptures created in concrete are made using a combination of layering and carving; addition and subtraction. Concrete is added gradually to a rigid frame, as it cures more layers are then added or removed as the form develops. A process requiring time and focus, often taking weeks or months to complete a single piece. The final result offers a unique work with a surface layer comprising of multiple layers meshed and intertwined together.
